Teaching in Tabora Tanzania with Bishop Silas translating to Swahili
In January, I’ll be returning to Africa, Uganda and Tanzania, to train local church leaders who serve remote villages and refugee populations. These ongoing trainings focus on essential Biblical doctrines, fundamental theology, spiritual formation, how to teach & share the Word, and general & practical ministry essentials. Our time is focused on discipling these local leaders, many of whom are subsistence farmers, basic laborers, and volunteer pastors who may never receive a formal biblical education and build an essential foundation to their faith so they can equip locals they encounter to reach remote villages and refugees with the Gospel. Many locals who will be reached are hearing the Gospel for the first time. There are many tribal, ancestral, and Islamic-influenced beliefs throughout the remote regions of Africa. This work is just a part of a greater work proclaiming the gospel, making disciples, and planting churches.
In May, with God's provision, I will return to Uganda to train another group of church leaders committed to teaching the scriptures and making disciples in the churches they serve
I continue to prayerfully seek additional training opportunities throughout 2026 and beyond.
This training and discipleship is accomplished through the coordination of several incredible servants working in and with the local communities and mission organizations, serving the church to share the love of Christ.
For the Jan/Feb trips, I will travel again with two other missionaries from Global Training Network to train evangelists (volunteer pastors) who are overseen by pastors and leadership of the African Inland Church (AIC). AIC runs Tabora Bible College in Tabora, Tanzania, which offers formal training to a few fortunate full-time students seeking vocational ministry. Tabora Bible College also provides additional training, such as our training, to up to 100 students at a time, who leave their villages to come to the college three times a year, for two weeks at a time, for a total of six trainings over two years. While in Tabora, our primary contact is a couple from the US who live in Tabora full-time, serving with the African Inland Mission. They teach at the college and provide ongoing training, support, and discipleship within the villages that the evangelists serve.
When I return to Uganda in May, I will be traveling with our local pastor from Black Mountain Baptist Church in Arizona. The church has previously traveled to this

Pray-
• For the Gospel to reach all nations, and disciples to be raised up for the glory of God
• For the students to be able to make it to the training, they must have open hearts & minds, and be able to overcome physical limitations of distance, poverty, and health to travel to the training.
• For myself and my fellow trainers, may we proclaim God’s truth through the ministry of the Holy Spirit, have the energy, focus, and opportunity to prepare. our endurance as we travel, and for us to grow in our own relationship with God as we seek to glorify Him.
• For the funds to come in to support these trainings: supplies, translators, training, teaching resources, meals for students and trainers, preparations, and travel expenses.

While stateside, God has provided many volunteer opportunities leading bible studies, teaching, serving local churches & ministries; In addition, there are several young men I have the privilege of walking alongside, discipling and coaching them in their walk with God to be equipped to serve within their communities, while preparing for their future role as fathers, husbands and godly men who are above reproach and willing to serve.
