SES Ministries is an intersection of several God-given ministries and experiences, and prayerfully with God’s provision and providence, the inspiration for many more to come. Simply, it is a collection of the ministry work God has allowed me to participate in as I seek to serve the Gospel, the church, and make disciples.
The Name: Serve, Equip, Share SES – This is my life passion. May I serve the body of Christ, to empower the body of Christ to share the love of Christ, which is the Gospel. Since I became a believer, Mark 10:45 has hit home as a call to my purpose. Christ has set the example for service.
Mark 10:45
For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” (ESV)
The Dream: The dream is ongoing and continues to take form, all based on the desire to serve, equip, and share. Through my experience serving churches and individuals in gospel ministry, I have seen so many pastors, church leaders, missionaries, and staff bogged down and, honestly, wiped out by tasks, projects, technology, emergencies, and even just stuck in loneliness and feeling trapped in the grind of ministry. I would love to come alongside those in smaller churches or serving independently who do not have large staffs, big budgets, or congregations with deep pockets or unlimited bodies to call on to serve and help these ministries accomplish their goals of reaching their communities for the Gospel. It may look different for each ministry; it might look like extra hands, project management, networking to find resources, additional labor for a season, or even stepping in for a day or two to offer relief and help to those laboring for the kingdom. I want to form a dedicated nonprofit to complete these tasks and allow donors to fund Gospel projects to these ministries. That is a dream in process; however, it requires funds to set up, operate, and maintain, even before the organization can serve, equip, and share. If you are interested in supporting this dream, I would love to talk about ways you could help. This continues to be defined; more to come.
What does it look like now:
· Gospel Missions – Currently training church leaders globally to evangelize, make disciples, and plant churches. Serving with GTN - Global Training Network gtn.org, as God allows me to serve!
· Discipleship - The process of walking alongside another person in a relationship, to point you and them to the Gospel and obedience of becoming a disciple of Christ. (The opportunity exists in ALL relationships, for the season they exist, to use your God-given giftedness in the ministry of the Spirit, in God’s timing, according to God’s perfect provision and plan. This is God's will for you to be and make disciples, His Plan, wherever you are, at all times; not bound by occupation, ability, time, borders, race, sin, wealth, prejudice, etc.
· Serving the Church – In the ways I am gifted may I serve to equip those in the church to do what God has gifted them with to reduce the noise of operations and culture to allow the Gospel to be clearly and beautifully spoken to those who come through the doors of the church and to those the Church body reach as they go out into their home, community and afar, Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (ESV)
· Shepherding and Oversight Ministry – This continues to be in the works, trusting God to bring opportunities to serve in a shepherding role to those in the church and community. Prayerfully, more to come.
· Seeking the next opportunity – God has faithfully provided the means over the years to serve, I trust and seek God that he will provide the next opportunity for work and employment to provide for the family and continue to serve. Please pray with me, or let me know if you know of any opportunities for work, etc.
How it has become what it is, the past: . For over 20 years, God allowed me to own a consulting group serving the technology needs of ministries and nonprofits. Every employee signed a statement upon hire stating that NPSGroup existed to serve the body of Christ and to empower the body of Christ to share the Love of Christ; Even a few non-believing staff accepted this as the mission and served the churches well. More to come
